Natural Family Planning (NFP) is an umbrella term that consists of different ways of managing your fertility without hormones or barriers.

It works by teaching women how to identify their “fertile window”, the days in each cycle when it is possible to conceive. Couples can use NFP to avoid or achieve pregnancies by abstaining from or engaging in intercourse on fertile days

Traditional methods of NFP are:

  • Basal Body Temperature
  • Sympto-Thermal
  • Cervical Mucus

Many women, especially those with busy lives and kids in tow, find it difficult to work with these methods into their daily routine.

The Marquette Method is Different!

It’s high-tech NFP, The Marquette Method uses a fertility monitor with daily disposable urine tests to measure the woman’s hormones directly. An easy-to-use algorithm then determines where the fertile window lands in each cycle.

Benefits of Practicing Natural Family Planning

“Although the practice of NFP can at times be challenging, there are numerous benefits. These include understanding how our bodies work and the peace of knowing that using NFP will not cause any adverse medical side effects. NFP can strengthen marital life, increase communication and intimacy, renew sexual desire, and is open to new life. Many couples that use NFP report an increase in spiritual well-being and a sense of being open to God’s will in their lives.” - Marquette University
